Cannes Film Festival boat charters
Boat charters to Cannes in May must certainly include a visit to the world famous Cannes Film Festival.
The festival was created in 1939 as a means to bring an international cultural even to France that would rival that of the Venice Film Festival. The minister of Education and Fine Arts, Jean Zay, planned for the International Film Festival to begin in September of that year; however, the war delay those plans and the first Festival didn’t begin until September 20, 1946. In 1952, the date was changed to May. Initially, every film recognized at the Festival received an award, but the social event that drew celebrities to Cannes created a media flurry that spurred the international reputation which still exists today.
The Cannes Film Festival intends on furthering the art of filmmaking as well as fostering collaboration between all filmmaking positions, from actor, to producer, to director, to small filmmaker, and so on.
During the Festival, boat charter guests can expect to see many different celebrities on the steps of the Palais des Festivals, where the films are screened. If you visit La Croisette, you will not only have access luxury boutiques, but you may shop next to a famous actor or favorite director.
