When vacationing in Greece, there are so many sites to see, the most difficult problem is choosing which itinerary to select.
Some of our yacht charter itineraries include the following beautiful locations:
The Ionian Islands:
Made up of Corfu, Paxos, Antipaxos, Lefkas, Ithaca, Kefalonia, and Zakynthos, the Ionian Islands are sometimes called the “Green Islands” because of their lush vegetation. Located to the west of mainland Greece, these islands are known for their beautiful beaches, charming villages, and fertile land.
The Saronic Islands:
This archipelago, located to the east of the mainland, include Angistri, Aegina, Methana, Poros, Salamina, Spetses, and Hydra. Visitors enjoy the natural beauty, pristine beaches, and small deserted islets.
The Cyclades Islands:
The most famous of all Greek Islands, the Cyclades are in the central Aegean and include Andros, Delos, Ios, Kea, Folegandros, Milos, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, Santorini, Serifos, Sifnos, and Syros.
The Dodencanese Islands
This crescent-shaped chain of islands is in the southeast and extends from the Asiatic Turkish coastline towards Crete. Most of the islands are bare of vegetation, but some offer natural springs. These Greek islands include Kos, Rhodes, and Samos.
The Sporades Islands
Located to the north of Evvoia, these wide-spread islands to the east of mainland Greece and consist of numerous uninhabited islands as well as Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonnisos, and Skyros, which are inhabited. Visitors here enjoy clean, blue waters and mountainous terrain with dense vegetation.
A perfect wedding begins with plenty of planning and preparation. A perfect honeymoon begins with Santorini.
This Greek island is listed as one of the top five honeymoon destinations with good reason. A Greek yacht charter to Santorini would be icing on the cake. Imagine living on a luxury yacht for a week. Your chef will prepare local favorites, which you can enjoy from the sun deck as you absorb the stunning scenery around you, particularly the steaming rocks and lava formations of the caldera.
The black sands of Kamari Beach are incredible and the area touts an interesting history and some of the best wine-tasting opportunities. You and your spouse will have the most romantic beginning to your life as a married couple as you indulge in only the best Santorini has to offer.
Beautiful Santorini Greece offers stunning views and an exceptional landscape – which reflect and glisten in the waters as you approach from a yacht charter.
In ancient times, Santorini was a solid circular island, but after the central volcano erupted several times, the island collapsed, leaving behind the ring-shaped islands that exist today. The caldera consists of the largest island of Thera, Therasia – which means “little Thera,” Aspronisi, and the central group of islands known as Kameni Islands.
As your yacht approaches the volcano, you will see steam rising from the rocks and hardened lava formations. You can even walk across the surface, which resembles a prehistoric walk, with sulfur steam escaping through holes in the earth around you.
Set sail towards the village of Oia to watch the sky turn red as the sun sets on the day.

Made from thick, rich sheep’s milk yoghurt, this tangy sauce is part of the meze table in every Greek tavern. For a similar consistency with cow’s milk yoghurt, you must first drain it of excess water. The sauce is delicious served with fried eggplant and zucchini, lamb chops or meatballs, or as a dip for pita bread.

The yachting high season may be over, but now is the perfect time to charter a yacht to Greece.
Sailing in Greece in October and November has its benefits. No matter where you choose to go on your Greek yacht charter – the Ionian Islands, the Saronic Islands, the Cyclades Islands, the Dodencanese Islands, or the Sporades Islands – you are sure to enjoy an autumn vacation.
In the latter part of the yacht season, there is less crowding in highly popular areas of the Greek islands. The steady Maistro wind still helps make sailing easy and the climate is still sensationally sunny and warm. Even the water temperature is still hovering in the 80s, perfect for snorkeling or swimming,
especially in the Cyclades and Dodencanese Islands, where the surface temperature is slightly warmer.
So don’t think it’s too late to look into a yacht charter. Now might just be the perfect time to get away from it all!
Greece is a beautiful place to visit any time of year, but September is especially great for yacht charters for a variety of reasons. Summer is over and many children are back in school, which allows for adults to have a little free time away from the kids to relax on the ocean waves. Most festivals don’t close down until after September, yet there is a decrease in tourists, making it less crowded everywhere – from restaurant lines to beaches.
Another benefit to a September yacht charter is the weather. While the temperatures on the mainland remain hot, along the coast and out on the water it is warm with light breezes. Also, many boats offer discounted rates in the autumn, and yet the variety of itineraries remains as diversified as ever.
