Even with only a few days to get away, you can still have a unique and exciting vacation with a South Florida day charter. Our half day boat rentals enable you to cruise the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, touring Miami and nearby sites, such as Star Island, Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, Stiltsville, and the Port of Miami. If you can get away for an entire day, you can enjoy the comfort of a luxury yacht, while sailing to Boca Chita and Elliot Keys.
Longer vacations might encompass areas outside of Miami and the beaches. The Florida Keys, for instance, feature world-class diving and crystal clear waters. The barrier reef is a must-see and vacationers love to enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of Key Largo, Key West, and many of the other 40 islands south of Miami. The Bahamas are located only 50 miles off of the Florida coast. With twenty-three inhabited islands and thousands of unpopulated islets, the Bahamas make for an ideal boating vacation.
Heading on vacation can be a lot of fun, but sometimes preparing for the trip can be stressful, especially if you’re not sure what to bring. Here is a helpful list to ensure that you don’t forget something important for your Bahamas yacht charter.
- Keep your luggage to a minimum. Storage space is limited, and you’ll probably spend most of your time in a bathing suit anyway.
- Bring several bathing suits, casual clothing that is resort appropriate, and even casual dress attire for dinner ashore. You may also wish to bring a light jacket or sweater for air-conditioned locations.
- Your shoes will depend on your itinerary. If you’re going hiking, bring hiking boots.
- Pack protection from the sun, including sun screen, hats, and sunglasses.
- Don’t forget any medications that you are taking. Pack seasickness medicine if you think you might need it. Bring an extra pair of prescription glasses, just in case.
- Bring your camera. You’ll want to take lots of pictures of the beautiful Bahamas scenery.
- You can bring your cell phone; however phone service at sea can be spotty.
- Carry passports for each guest on board.
- If you are plan on going scuba diving, be sure to bring your diving credentials.

 Shroud Cay
Shroud Cay is an uninhabited archipelago of cays and rocks in the Bahamas that is part of the Exuma Park. The islands are connected by saltwater rivers and protective mangroves, within which conch, crawfish, sea turtles, birds, sharks, and fishes all rest and nest.
In some places, the rivers are quite shallow and only accessible during high tides. Kayaking – or riding waverunners – through the water ways is the perfect way to explore this magical area and spot baby creatures in the wild. The beaches here are untouched and deserted, making for the perfect private picnic spot.
Exploring the wilderness of Shroud Cay is a great escape from the crowded beaches and villages elsewhere in the Bahamas. It is a place to truly discover your own island and your very own beach.
