Shroud Cay: Find Your Own Beach

Shroud Cay

Shroud Cay

Shroud Cay is an uninhabited archipelago of cays and rocks in the Bahamas that is part of the Exuma Park. The islands are connected by saltwater rivers and protective mangroves, within which conch, crawfish, sea turtles, birds, sharks, and fishes all rest and nest.

In some places, the rivers are quite shallow and only accessible during high tides. Kayaking – or riding waverunners – through the water ways is the perfect way to explore this magical area and spot baby creatures in the wild. The beaches here are untouched and deserted, making for the perfect private picnic spot.

Exploring the wilderness of Shroud Cay is a great escape from the crowded beaches and villages elsewhere in the Bahamas. It is a place to truly discover your own island and your very own beach.

The Setting Sun in Santorini Greece

santorini greeceBeautiful Santorini Greece offers stunning views and an exceptional landscape – which reflect and glisten in the waters as you approach from a yacht charter.

In ancient times, Santorini was a solid circular island, but after the central volcano erupted several times, the island collapsed, leaving behind the ring-shaped islands that exist today. The caldera consists of the largest island of Thera, Therasia – which means “little Thera,” Aspronisi, and the central group of islands known as Kameni Islands.

As your yacht approaches the volcano, you will see steam rising from the rocks and hardened lava formations. You can even walk across the surface, which resembles a prehistoric walk, with sulfur steam escaping through holes in the earth around you.

Set sail towards the village of Oia to watch the sky turn red as the sun sets on the day.
